2019 Hawke's Bay Young Fruitgrower of the Year Regan Judd.

Regan grew up on the family farm in the Rangitikei which helped to grow his interest in working outdoors.  Studying Horticulture at university helped steer him to his role as a senior lead hand at T&G Pipfruit.  He is a bit of an outdoorsman and enjoys a bit of hunting at weekends.

Regan enters the Young Fruitgrower competition to give himself the opportunity to meet other like minded people and to test his skills and knowledge.

Regan is most inspired by his parents who built a successful dairy business from the ground up.

The Hawke’s Bay Young Fruit Grower Competition aims to inspire and acknowledge the talents of young people employed in the fruit sectors in the Hawke’s Bay.

Competitors demonstrate their practical skills at eight stations during the

BNZ National Horticulture Field Day, followed by a Dinner event where they participate in a quiz and present a speech on a given topic to the audience.
